It is impossible to cruise as much as you want. <G> While it does look like it is very expensive to cruise actually when you break it down, it isn't! What is costly is often the cost to get to the ship for many people as in airfare. Then we tend to want to stay in the best cabins, (can you blame us), and drink more than we should, gamble more than we should, and shop more than we should. <G> If you get right down to it, basic cruising is very cheap. We have a CM Group cruise on the Glory this Sept that I can use as an example, for 7 days in an inside cabin it is $361.86 or $51.69 per day. Now that includes all meals and drinks except soda and booze as well as entertainment, room, and transportation. Not to mention all the activities you have free access to. You just can't live that cheaply at home when you figure up the cost of your home, utilities, phone, car, food, etc. etc. Granted you have tips that yopu should provide which adds another $10 per day and of course taxes whihc is $26.73 a day but hey, Uncle Sam is going to get his share no matter where you are at. <G> Still, that only comes to $88.42 per day and folks, ya just can't live that cheaply in most places and nowhere at all for what you get. Cruising is still the best bargain in America today which is why it is becoming so popular!
