Default Best Air Fares?

I have just booked a cabin on the Oct Transatlantic Cruisemates group cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get the best air fares? I will be flying out of Nashville, TN.

Thanks.

Ken

Hi ya Ken,

Glad to hear you'll be joining us. I never recommend getting air from the cruise lines for "regular" cruises.

HOWEVER, on cruises such as this that require "open jaw" air (meaning you are flying to one place, but flying back from someplace else) , I often find the cruise line air the best deal.

I don't know if you asked Nancy to check their air price, but you should.

Sorry to disagree with Kuki. I did the CM TA last year and because I want to take the train from Rome to Venice. It would have been more expensive for me to use the cruise air, because I would have a flight deviation (SP?). I found the "open jaw" prices were high so I booked two one way tickets. One to Miami and the other from Venice to Sacramento. I use the yahoo farechase. This site checks all the other sites like cheaper tickets and travelocity for the best prices. Southwest airlines is not included in the farechase. Here is a link: http://farechase.yahoo.com/

I agree with Kuki. We took a TransAtlantic last October from England to Boston. Could not find a better air fare than supplied by the cruise line. We are using the cruise supplied air for the TransAtlantic Group Cruise this October. My only concern is the number of plane changes we will have to endure on the way over.

Okie
