Now that the holidays are behind us it's time to get excited about OUR cruise. You will like the Conquest, it is one of the prettiest ships in the fleet. Be sure to study your French impressionist painters to get a feel for the public rooms. I've sailed the Conquest nine times so this will be my Platinum cruise on her and I think I can help with some suggestions.
Don't miss these:
The Wok--this is located on Lido deck between the pool and the Cezzane buffet on starboard side. They had made to order food. Very good.
Seaside Theater--Movies outdoors. Should be nice for the late movies outside once we get south.
Sur Mer--located on deck 10 above the Cezzane. Seafood.

We do like the fish & chips aboard ship. Did Conquest get that, too?
And the Serenity area and the waterworks? Love the slides!
Don't forget the pre cruise get together y'all. The Spot on Seawall Blvd ~32nd with the Saltgrass as a backup plan.
We visited the Spot last week and made a semi reservation. They don't normally do reserved areas but with it being a Saturday it could be busy so they took our info and said if its really crowded downstairs we could have the area upstairs.

Thank you Phil & Liz, you have done so much research for us for this cruise ... not to mention the P&L shuttle service ... whatever pre-cruise get together you are able to secure is going to be fine with me! And I'd bet it will also be fine with every one else as well! You really have put a lot of effort into this and I thank you for it! 1st Lemon Drop is on me!
21 more days!

I think some of us have been excited for quite some time
hahaha I had a dream last night that I forgot to pack my formal stuff---and just said the heck with it---it too late to worry about it and I can always eat somewhere else----that does remind me that I think I told my husband that he didnt need to bring his suit or jacket for that matter----this is a cruise --a relaxing cruise for him---and me too--
Yeah Baby! We sail in 17 days I've had my fun pass printed since the week after final payment ;-)
Thank you Ray for being our host and planning all the fun things we will do on this cruise, thank you Phil & Liz for organizing the pre cruise get together. I am SO excited and so ready2go (ha ha Darlene ) I'm looking forward to seeing y'all next year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

I was curious if anyone is sailing solo? I am looking to possible take my first cruise without the kiddos...woohoo :-D. I am a member on the Disney cruise boards and Cruise Critics (hope its o.k to mention that) I would love to join you all as the 17th is my B'Day. I of coarse have to do some research on airfare from NY so I hope its in my price range. Going solo is both scary and exciting at the same time.
If in not able to join you all I wish you happy sailing

Hello Yellowbee
Yes there are some solo travelers--but your never alone with our group--
the more the merrier--
I hope you can join us--boy talk about sort of last minute but what a great present---Happy Birthday a bit early--enjoy whatever works out.
Hi April
Thanks. I did price out air and it seems to be around $400, not too much more then the cost to fly into FT Lauderdale or MIA. I'm going to the Carnival website to take a peek at the ship as I really have never paid much attention to their ships as of late. OMG I would be soooo happy to find soome folks to cruise and chat with. Do you know if anyone is looking for a cabin mate by chance? I would love to bring along my little ones but since they are now in 3rd grade I don't feel I can pull them from school any more. :O(
OH WOW, I just checked their site and the only cat they have left is the ocean view and for me it would be $1600.00!!! Sometimes I fi9nd them to be cheaper with more peole in a room.
Looks like I may be out but I wish you all a wonderful week and have a drink for me please.
Happy sailing! :O)
Thanks again
Maria

Reason: looked up pricing
Thanks Yellobee. Sorry you can't go, but I understand. Sometimes you can get a deal at the last minute, but with the COLD weather they have sold out almost all the cruises in January. We got a good deal!
