hotels in London

Greetings, I've enjoyed reading all about your experiences!

My husband is traveling on the QE2 to London, and he needs the name of
a hotel in a centrally located and safe area. Any suggestions as to locations
or hotel names? We imagine that the prices are similar to NYC, so anything
within the 125-175 US$ range would be fine. Of course, the cheaper the better,
and any suggestions would be appreciated!

Carmen... beware of VERY inexpensive hotels in London... no air conditioning, tiny rooms, etc. We recommend two mid-range hotels in London... both in the Kensington Area... the Copthorne Tara Hotel and the Millennium Glouchester. They are lovely, nice modern rooms, convenience to the Underground and walking distance to many London points of interest.
