When my husband and I went on the QE2 in '99 we were allowed to have guests come aboard. Is this still the policy or has 9/11 put a halt to it? Thanks.

Our experience in May 2003 was absolutely NO VISITORS. Honestly, I don't see how the ship can get going and have paying passengers embark with a thousand plus visitors on board!

The brochure now states explicitly, no visitors allowed on board the ship. Which is a shame but I guess you have to sympathise with the difficulty of keeping the ship secure and getting her out of port with the people (and only the people) she's meant to carry. Can't bribe anyone to come wave us off now!
