Thinking of booking QM2 for June 11 sailing and having second thoughts. This would be my second cruise-the first in October on Majesty of the Seas to Bahamas. I'm wondering if the type of entertainment on the QM2 would be too sofisticated for my boy friend and I. We enjoyed the shows on the Majesty. In the brochure of the QM2 it indicates violin shows, classes, plays etc. Anyone with experience with Cunard? Would love to hear from you. Please email at email@example.com.
There's something for everyone on Cunard. The range of activities is much the same as all other lines. The QM2 is the size of Majesty plus the QE2 and will have the features of both.
They might well be talking about more high brow activities but there will still be cinema, shows, spa and casino like on all cruises lines.
Cunard is not famed for it's shows but I think the new facilities on QM2 will bring them up to the standard given by other lines.
My advice is to book. The experience will pale all other cruising experiences.
There will be three of us on this sailing in our early twenties and we will be making it a fun trip either way. I think you will have a good trip if you end up booking let me know. We could all meet up for a drink.
I thought the shows on the QE2 were great, and we're in our young 30s. The only things missing that other cruises had were the "adults-only" comedy show, apparently filled with alot of vulgarity and crude humor, and the very revealing Vegas-style show. Not my type of entertainment. QE2 put on great shows that had everyone laughing and clapping, and I'm sure QM2 will be the same.
hey...i went on the QM2....its realy proper.......but you have to remember its an older crowd........but i had a pritty good time.......just make sure your prepared to get dressed up for dinners.....
hope i help,
