Irons

I have been reading on other posts that irons are not allowed on board cruise ships? Is this true of QM2?

My understanding is the ship provides you with an iron as well as a hair dryer.

It's a safety precaution - untended irons can and do cause fires - ship provided irons have a built in safety feature.

Hairdryers - they are provided - in the bathroom with a short cord and no way to sit down to see what you're doing - not good - I always take my own and no one has ever complained - I can usually plug it in on the vanity instead of tying up the bathroom - my companion appreciates that!

there are five fully equiped laundrys on board QM2 all with irons and ironing boards, and you can iron away....
