A bath robe is nice but not something I'd go out on a limb for - I ask my bedroom steward for a couple of extra towels and I'm happy! A silk 'scrunch to nothing' robe is something I don't leave home without!
Hi Mary3645, I wish we were booked for our next trip, we can't wait...Yes there are robes and it is a wonderful experience. When we first found out that they were going to build a new ship we booked, then watched it being built on the internet, our anticipation was two and a half years. I counted down the minutes... I know how you feel...
The robes on the QM2 are different from those lush terry ones on the QE2. The QM2 has them in every cabin but they are different. They are the waffle weave type. I found mine to be a bit scratchy. I kept the matching slipper. The one thing I really like was the green pool towels, infact I liked them so much that I bought them..
Read somewhere that the hairdryers are inconvenient (in a dresser/vanity drawer!) to use so it's best to take your own.,
This is true of other ships too - hairdryer is 'fixed' in the bathroom and short of having a crew cut, it takes time to style and dry your hair - you're tying up the bathroom. I always take my own (dual voltage) blow dryer and a long extension cord.
