I know that you have now transferred to QM2, but I would be grateful if you could advise if passengers can visit the bridge on QE2? I know for security reasons it is stated that 'no bridge visits are possible' but I know from my crossing on QE2 w/bound last April that as we sailed into NYC there were various passengers on the bridge (external part - bridge wing).
I would very much like to visit the bridge during my Iberian Shores Oct. cruise this year on QE2 as my late grandfather was fortunate to have travelled on the pre-maiden voyage of QE2 back in 1969 & travelled onboard about 40+ times until 1991 & he was fortunate enough to have visited the bridge on numerous occasions.
You will appreciate I am not attached to the QE2 now, however we used to open the Bridge on QE2 on occasional in port days for guests to walk through. I assume that policy is still operating. A lot will depend on security level at time. I do appreciate that many guests have a specific interest in viewing the Bridge and its a great shame that this facility now has to be restricted. What you may have seen on QE2 Bridge wing were Company Officials but I just dont know.
Hope you have a great cruise
