Take a cab, hairy ride, but all part of the experience. It will cost you USD45.00 plus the bridge tolls, I don't know how much the tolls are. The fare is posted in the back of the cab, so do not pay any more than that. Make sure you only get in a registered yellow cab. You can tell them, they have a Taxi sign on top of the vehicle and the rates posted on the door. Like any international JFK is busy and full of hawkers, but you'll be fine, try and get a window for the views on your flight. I flew into JFK on my own just before xmas and was fine, everybody was very friendly and helpful. Manhattan is FAB. I took myself round on one day, whilst my hubby was working and had a great time. Enjoy it for me. Anymore info neded then feel free to contact me by clicking on my name!
cheers
