Default QM2 South America 2006

Just wondering if anyone has any information on how advance bookings are shaping up for the cruise segments?? (I know they have at least mine!!!!)

My understanding is that the whole trip is somewhat of an experiment to gauge the popularity and if a ship the size of QM2 can operate the segments profitably, using Cape Horn as a drawcard.

Also the Queen Victoria ( on order) has been specifically designed to the maximum dimensions for the Panama Canal.

So it looks at though Cunard (Carnival) is covering all the options for the future.

Any information or opinions most welcome.

Thanks

Which sement(s) are you doing??

My husband and I are doing Los Angeles to New York................... hey........... might as well do it all!!!!

We booked and paid in March.............. but down here in Australia............ I had to inform the travel agent of the cruise, who then had a very difficult time extracting details & prices from the Cunard Asia-Pacific office.

But just recently, advertisements have started to appear in the newpapers and magazines.............. which are very rare in this part of the world for Cunard.
That is why I have some thoughts that maybe it is not as popular as first imagined, hence the advertising push.
