QM2 deck 8 restructed view cabins

Hi,

I've just booked a cruise on QM2 next July on deck 8 with a cabin with a view between two lifeboats. I wanted a cabin looking over the smaller "zodiac" boats, but the tour rep advised the cabin I have currently booked. Can anyone help here? Which is better - the view between lifeboats or the view over the zodiacs - cabins 8043 to 8050?

Paul, take a look at thread "B-6 obstructed cabins" below. One member likes 8043 and 8047. We have booked 8013 (first in the row of lifeboats), but I have never seen the view from this cabin.

Many thanks for that. Have now booked 8047 and keeping my fingers crossed, not that it really matters. We're doing a Mediterranean cruise in July 2006 and we've been to all the ports and there isn't a lot to see. In any case, I'm always on the top deck when the ship sails into port.

Sailed in July transatlantic in cabin 8043--couldn't have been better.

That's encouraging - 8047 is at the other end of the small lifeboat if the deck plans are accurate.
