Cabins on 11th Deck

Anyone stayed in a deluxe balcony on the 11th deck? Curious as to what it's like. This is the first time we be on QMII!

When are you sailing?

We travelled on eleven deck last March and found the deluxe cabin extemely comfortable. The view is wonderful. I was curious as to whether the deck 12 overhang would block out the sun, but, the balcony was bright and pleasant. We sail again on deck 11 this January 3 to Costa Rica and can hardly wait to get back aboard our beloved QM2!

This will be our third time on the QM2 but first time on Deck 11 (January 2006--AROUND THE HORN). I, too, am eager to see them as we have been on Five Deck twice before.

The other nice bonus about deck 11 is that you are just down the hall from the Observation Deck. If you are an early riser, it is particularly nice to hike down to this perch and take a gander as QM2 approaches a port in the wee hours or else to watch a sailaway before dinner.

Thanks a lot for the info!
We sail on Friday (to Southampton) and can hardly wait! My guess is that we'll decide to sail on QM2 over and over and over again...

We stayed in stateroom 11093, mid ship between stairway B and C. Would highly recommend this area. Also, this side of the ship was glorious for sailing away from NYC; great view of The SOL (we ended up sailing after midnight, believe it or not...waiting for the food truck which was stuck on the GW bridge).
Also, quite sunny; great sitting out on the balcony until the 3rd day when it started to get foggy and misty. Still, not too cold, but very damp. Nice views of Southampton when we arrived, too.
