Atrium cabin

Has anyone stayed in this class of cabin? If yes, can you give a brief description of what we can expect on our short Labor day cruise? We are on deck 6.

My daughter and I had Cabin 5122 (atrium) on QM2 coming back from the tandem crossing on May 1, 2004. It is supposed to be the same interior size as the balcony cabins but I must be claustrophobic as we had hull balcony cabin 5200 in March 2004 to the Caribbean and I felt the atrium cabin was smaller than the hull balcony cabin. Nevertheless, it was fun to open the curtains and look down on the activities!

Do you know what the size was? We jknow it will be smaller than what we are used to on other lines but was our best spot for the price on this short cruise for Labor Day...don't expect to do much time in the cabin.

Cunard states the size in the Atrium cabins as 194 square feet.

we have stuck with the atrium cabin & wonder if anyone else has stayed in one...there are only a few on board...at least it is mid ships...

You may want to do a search for this on the cruisecritic site. I know this has been addressed (I posted a description of my atrium cabin) several times.

Not a bad cabin grade - especially location - but not worth the extra money in my book. Either save the extra money for purchases onboard and book an inside midships, or spend the extra and go for a hull cabin.
