QE2 crossings

Has anyone heard about the possibility of the QE2 beginning limited crossings? FOr the life of me I don't know why the crossings were completely halted to begin with, but then again I don't steer the ship.

By crossings, I assume you mean transatlantic crossings.

Queen Mary 2 has taken over the role of doing transatlantic crossings.

This decision was taken as QE2 is becoming less able to meet SOLAS regulations and also her hull is beginning to show the years of wear pounding back and forth over the Atlantic.

This is not to say that QE2 does not do transatlantics. At the beginning of her world cruise in January (for example) and also in September when there is a three week cruise from Southampton - New York - Quebec - Southampton.

Yes, i think the QM2 was conceived to far distances (Southampton - NYC), and the QE2 for regionals tours.
But the next year, the QV will appear and it will betweeb them, as in his weight as hight.
But we don't say that QM2=Atlantic ...
