QM2 - cabin and kennel questions

My husband, four year old human and Yellow Labrador Retriever will be sailing next summer from Southampton to NYC. We will be retunring home from a month on the west coast of Ireland.

The doggie will be relegated to the QM2 onboard kennels - anyone have any experience with this?

My husband and I would like to be able to share a Queen's Grill or Princess Grill suite with our daughter. Is that possible? The Cunard website is so slow and I was on hold with their customer service for over 20 minutes before I gave up. I'd appreciate any input and recommendation on cabin type and location.

Check with your travel agent, and look at the deck plans. Some of the grill rooms are for 3 people, but not many. I think there are more Q5 rooms that take 3 or 4, but they book up early. We had to get two rooms for our family of 4. When I asked my agent about just adding 2 more on the fold-out soft, she gently explained that there are specific restrictions on how many people can be on board, so they can't just stuff more people in a stateroom like they can at a hotel.
