Farewell Queenie Childrens Book QE2

Hi everyone,

I found this book "Farewell Queenie" by Barabara Tee in the QE2 library on board recently. It was not available to purchase in the shop, so i followed it up and bought it online at http://mentlefilter.com/category/4/product/5/

It is a wonderful book. The story is simple yet very emotional at the end, and is written by a QE2 regular passenger. It is also only in a short first run, so i bought 6 for my grandchildren. Well maybe 4 and i kept 2 for myself...

If you get a copy, I hope you enjoy it like most of the passengers I saw reading it. All with misty eyes...

I did not realize that. We have been counting down the days to the last departure from Southampton. We have just found out that the plans for QE2 in Dubai are awful. They are going to remove the funnel and replace it with a glass penthouse etc. I thought they had an obligation to keep the QE2 looking like the QE2 not some digusting sideshow...
