Just returned last week from QM 2 crossing. This ship is truly amazing. We have done over 35 cruises and 2 QE 2 sailings. By far we enjoyed this ship the best. She is just beautiful. Magnificent construction and well built to handel the Noth Atlantic waves. We got a truly great price but will sail her agian because its just a great liner.
My hats off to Cunard for building such a great liner and good service to boot.
We did a Holland America crossing on the way back to the US and the ship didn't compare.
I also agree to the fullest degree - she is a beautiful ship. Although she is big, her size is used to scale up rooms for a very grand sense of scale, not to pack in more room for extra passengers. There is a tremendous amount of volume per passenger onboard.
The ship design is also very pleasing, with passageways around rooms you don't want to be forced through (like the casino, for example) and no dead ends.
The decor is amazing and she feels like a ship throughout - with many windows. People come out of their rooms and occupy the public rooms every day giving her a very homey feel. She is like a jewel from the golden age.

It is nice to see the QM2 enjoyed, rather than fussed about ... as on some other ship sites. She is a lovely ship, large and efficient, and well-priced throughout. I was on her Maiden Voyage, went back on six months later to see how she was doing, and all times since have been delightful.
Not everybody will agree. I've read some truly awful reviews posted by people who were on the same voyage as me!
The crew know me and a lot of my needs and wants are anticipated but I also go out of my way to treat them with great respect in return.
And it is not all perfect, there are things go wrong and things which could be improved but if life were perfect there would be no wars, famines, disasters, etc.
I have finally enticed my cousin to join me next spring and he does not share my enthusiam for sailing - yet. I have asked him to keep an open mind and in return I have promised not to hate him if he can't share my love for the ship.
