How exciting, I remember my first time on the QM2.
Cunard purists will tell you that it is a crossing as opposed to a cruise. They have a very different feel because your time is more your own since you are not worrying about getting ashore to see whatever is ashore.
There are also a lot of daytime activities to choose from, e.g. Spa, lectures, the Planetarium, trivia quizzes, dance lessons, leisurely breakfasts and lunches, reading and a favourite with many - sitting and watching the world go by. And one of my favourites afternoon tea.
