Queen Elizabeth 2 sold (not to be scrapped)

latest news on QE2 cruise ship which I first read on this site are that the Queen Elizabeth 2 ship (which is still owned by the Istithmar company in Dubai) will be sold (thankfully not for scrap

) to an investment Singapore company - Oceanic Group. I'm so glad roumors about QE2 being ready for scrap turned out to be just a suggestion! And I absolutely agree with those guys about the Mardi Gras ship - so not good to scrap history for not so big money. The link to the Financial Times article (which is obviously the source) is this.
