Has anyone here had (or seen) a wheelchair-accessible cabin on the Disney Wonder?
I would love to hear about your experiences, especially in the stateroom. In particular, we will be having 2 adults and 2 17-year-olds in the same stateroom, which includes--for the teenagers--a sofa and a pull-down bed (from the ceiling). We have booked Cabin 7638, which is ?accessible? and has a veranda (Category 5, at the back of the ship).
I will be using an electric scooter, but since I can walk a few steps, the bathroom doors and square footage do not matter, but the grab bars and shower seat are essential.
How cramped will the cabin be with a scooter in it?
(On past cruises on HAL and Princess, I used a folding wheelchair in a regular, ?non-accessible? veranda room, and the folded wheelchair took up enough space to be awkward.)
I am especially excited to be having my first ?accessible? cabin. Thanks for any help you can give!!
You may want to go to <http://www.mytravelco.com> and get into the cruise section, then the 360 tour. I do believe they do have a few cabins that should work for you, they should be marked. If not at this site, try looking at one of their brochures and find the ones that are wheel chair accessible, should be a few. Also a good travel agent will be able to get that information for you.
Another thing you could try, is post this in the "bargain finder" and see what some of those travel agents can find for you, its worth a try, good luck:

Sorry, I see that there is some glitch in my computer message above. In three places, the quotation marks I typed (around the words ACCESSIBLE and NON-ACCESSIBLE) were translated into question marks. Hope that it didn't confuse anyone.
