We are trying to decide on one of these ships for a Mexican Riviera cruise- my husband will be traveling with a portable wheelchair. Does anybody have a favorite or any suggestions? I hear that the speciality restaurant on the Pride is at the top of the ship.. is this wheelchair accessible? Any help would be appreciated!!!
Have not traveled on either, but between Carnival (which is still getting many complaints about its access even though under court order to bring up to ADA standards) and RCL I would definately go to RCL as they have some of the best accessiblity standards on the seas.
You can also check out opinions on the disabled cruises board at www.cruisecritic.com (which is more active than this forum).
Re: Re: Re: carnival pride or RCL vision of the seas
We decided to go on Carnival Pride NEXT November2, 2003... Has anyone else book this far in advance?! This will be the new itinerary- the Mexican Riviera. My husband is taking his portable wheelchair..would love to take the scooter but we think it would be too much of a hassle. A very lightweight scooter would be great!! We are traveling with my brother and brother in law. We are planning on having a fantastic time!
