We have booked an accessible cabin for an upcoming cruise with my mother who is mobile, but legally blind. I felt the lack of threshholds, not having to step in and out of shower, bathroom and balcony and the additional space in general would help in her confidence around the cabin and keep her from getting injured in a fall. Also, the grab bars and seat in shower will also help her.
Question: Are we wrong in booking a HC cabin? It seems like most folks feel they are specifically for wheelchair passengers.
