Default Visual Impairment and HC Cabins

We have booked an accessible cabin for an upcoming cruise with my mother who is mobile, but legally blind. I felt the lack of threshholds, not having to step in and out of shower, bathroom and balcony and the additional space in general would help in her confidence around the cabin and keep her from getting injured in a fall. Also, the grab bars and seat in shower will also help her.
Question: Are we wrong in booking a HC cabin? It seems like most folks feel they are specifically for wheelchair passengers.

No, not at all, those cabins are for cruisers just like your mom, I hope it will help make her cruise enjoyable and with out any accidents, have fun.

Default Thanks!

Thanks, Donna - I appreciate your response! I guess I'll relax now and just start the countdown to sailing! (34 to go!)
