Hi everyone, my first cruise is coming up in May. We will be flying into Miami then boarding the Carnival Valor the next day. I will be traveling with a power chair, does anyone have any good advice/tips/tricks on dealing with this flight and boarding the ship? This is the first time I've flown with my power chair. Any suggestions will be appreciated. THANKS!
Can't help with the flight question. You should call your airline to see if there is anything in particular they need to know do do with the power chair. I DO know it must have closed cell battery.
Boarding the ship will be NO problem with your power chair. There are handicapped check in areas and elevators to get you to the gangway. You should ask a Carnival employee at check-in to assit you onto the ship. This will get you to the head of the line and you won't have to deal with a bunch of people crowding in. There are plenty of people right at the entrance to the check in area. The only bad thing about Miami is the check-in is very conjested.
