We are taking our 3 children ages 10, 14, 17 on the Magic. Has anyone been on it with kids that age, especially the 17 year old boy? I am concerned he will be caught between being too old for the teen programs and too young for the adult programs. Any suggestions? Also comments on excursions at the Ports.
We went on a four day with my then 13 year old boy and our 16 year old girl. On our trip there were more children in the 13-15 year old group which is ideal for your 14 year old. My daughter who was a high school junior at the time met a few people her age, but I think it depends on your cruise. Tell him to check out common grounds, the club for teens, as well as the 14 year old. You really can't tell till you get on the cruise and check it out. there is so much to do, I am sure he'll have a ball!
We went last Thanksgiving on the Magic (3 day). My daughter was 17 and my son 14. They both enjoyed the teen room and my son especially enjoyed the video arcade. My daughter also found some of the kid counselors who were younger (early 20s) to chat with during their off hours. We all had a great time and we are anticipating going again next year.
I am taking 4 boys 12, 10, 7, 4 in March.for 7 day cruise on magic. I have been going over rewiews, but none are recent. The older reviews dont have a lot of good things to say. Did you have fun and is the food as bad as they say it is? I would love the get some input on this. thanks greg
