Disney 7-Day Cruise (Formal Dinner?)

We have only been on the 4 day cruise and will soon be leaving on a 7 day cruise. We were told by a Disney representative that one night we will have a formal dinner, one night an informal dinner. Can you tell me how much people dress up for this and whether or not everyone participates? Thanks!

I was on the 7 night in November, and they had two formal nights. One on Sunday, and the other on Thursday. Everyone was dressed up on both nights. Some people do not participate, but the majority of the ship does. It varied from women in gowns to cocktail dresses to sunday dresses and men with tuxedos(very few) and suits.

Hi we just came back from the 4 night Disney Wonder cruise. There were people dressed in very formal evening dresses to simple long skirts. Most of the men were in jackets or at least a golf shirt. Most of the people participated. It was very nice.
