Babysitting on ship

Call me paranoid, but my kids (6 & 2) have never had a non-family babysitter in their lives. I'm curious if anyone has had any experiences with baby sitting on the Wonder or Magic that they would like to share. Also how much extra is the cost and do they sit in your cabin or take them to a room full of kids? I'd love to hear some good experiences and please don't hold back if your experience wasn't good.

We went on the Disney Wonder during Spring Break; our kids just absolutely loved it (maybe as much as Disney World itself).

At the time they were 3 and 7 and both found plenty to do. I can't remember if they actually have babysitting in the cabin, but the kid centers make it completely unnecessary.

I have to say that neither of our kids our, in any way, shy, but even our friends children (who are a bit shy) still enjoyed it.

Be at the sign up place embarkation day. The nursery fills up fast, and spaces in the younger age programs fill up quickly as well. The ship and her activities are designed for children. Disney is all about kids. There is an army of professional counselers who run the programs. Just get signed up. Parents who hang back the first day get left behind.
