Family of four going on a first time cruise to the Western Carrib.
We are wondering if early November (before thanksgiving) or early January would be the best time to go. Apparently November has hurricane potential, but in January i'm concerned about the temperatures (will it be coo on the beaches?)
Hi Danny! My wife and I vacation the second week of January every year (our anniversary). We have been into cruising lately. January (at least the first 2 weeks -- haven't experienced the last 2 weeks) is a great time frame to travel. The temperature has always been at least 80 and many times has been in the 90s. Remember that most cruise lines head South from Florida. We have had beautiful summer-like weather on every cruise that we have been on (#6 coming up this January -- Disney Magic). Good luck! Jack
We cruised in Magic last January. Weather was usual tropical without the afternoon showers. Nothing new to us since we live here but those from up north were in heaven. A late summer can leave November a bit warm in the afternoon but nothing you can't handle. A day in the Caribbean beats, well, never mind.
