I just posted my trip reort with a link to photos so you can see for yourself what goes on on the Disney Magic. The 7 days are more formal, My boys wore tuxedos and I went all out with the gown. Suits on semi formal, beaded dress pants for me. There were many men in Tuxedos, but more in dark suits both nights, and even several casual people in regular khakis and button downs. Disney does not demand a certain style of dress, but does reccomend no shorts in any of the dining rooms. They encourage a "resort casual" dress at all times, but do not require formal wear. On the 3 & 4 days there is no formal night but again, the "resort casual" is suggested. I hope this helps.
Yikes - my hubbie is all-casual out of work, can't stand the tie thing because he has to do it all week. We are sailing 2--20-05; am I safe to tell him biz-casual for evening - what about jeans day or night? Thanks.
If you're sailing on the Magic (7 nights), he'll have to wear a tie for one night (formal night). The other nights you can get away with wearing slacks, polo shirts, etc. You can wear jeans during the day, but not to the dining room for dinner.
Business casual is exactly right for dinner-- except for formal night.
