Default Disney Pop Century Hotel

Hi everyone. I just love this website. I have learned so much and received great advice. My kids think I'm obsessed with this site and I think they might be right.

I'm going on the Disney Wonder next month and flying into Orlando the day prior to the cruise. I booked the Disney Pop Century Hotel (a Disney value hotel) and WONDERed if anyone stayed there before. Or has anyone stayed in any Disney All-Star resorts?. Any advice, comments, pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.

Or am I better off driving the day early to Cocoa Beach. If so, what is there to do in Cocoa Beach?

Help!!!!!!!! Thanks.

Last year I stayed at the Disney All Star Movie hotel...

it is really just a motel... with a fancy covering on it....

That is all.. the pool was decent....

I stayed there for 3 days and was a little annoyed at the place... But if you are looking just for a one night cheap hotel... than it is fine..

If up to me... I would not stay there again.

If they thought you were obsessed with these boards, try disboards.com and they will lose you forever.

I have heard great things about Ron Jon's on the coast. It is right near the port, there is a pool and beach and different amenities. There is also a code to use for a discount. disboards people can give you more info.

Usually we book what's considered a "moderate priced" hotel, mostly because with my husband's Disney discount we get the rooms for $60 a night. The Pop Century is considered a "value priced" hotel, and while they're not fancy or particularly spacious, it's not bad. My in laws stayed at the Music themed hotel last September, and they liked it a lot. As with all disney properties, the rooms are very clean, and the pool was nice. Plus you have the DIsney bus service and transfers available.

DH and I stayed in disney for 4 days before our first disney cruise. The drive is only about 70-90 minutes from DisneyWorld to the pier. Personally, I'd prefer staying in Orlando before the cruise (I'm sure you have to fly into Orlando anyway).
