Default Advice needed for family with 2 year old

Can anyone BTDT give us any advice on how to make our 4 night cruise more enjoyable with a recently turned 2 year old? She's our only child. Any ideas on what we can do while on board to keep her happy? She's an adventurous child, loves to swim, and loves new experiences.

Thank you!
Y Family

Hi, we took our almost 2 year old grandson with us and here is what we did.

Bring lots of swim diapers. they do sell them on board, but they sell out quickly and are expensive. You will go through more thanyou think you will.
One of the Mickey ears is designated for toddlers, The water is only an inch or 2 deep, but there are several water jets that will spurt out for them to play in. Parents can easily sit on the edge of the ear to supervise easily and safely. Your child will love this and want to be there all the time, they MUST wear swim diapers to go in. The other ear is about 8 or 10 inches deep and lots of young kids go in there, but they are ones who are really at home in the water, potty trained but not comfortable in the bigger part of the hills.
This is in the direct sunlight, so bring the sun block, you'll need it.
The littlekids seem to love all the shows too. Most have characters in them, especially The Golden Mickeys. Dont worry about her making noise because there are hundreds of kids in there,it is disney and people go with the idea it isnt going to be quiet!! Plus sometimes the shows have a matinee at 2 P.M. This is the same exact show but not as many people so easier for younger kids to handle.
Down near the clubs there are some large port hole windows that have a padded bottom to them. These are for sitting or laying on. Our GS loved to just lay back there and watch the ocean. I l know it sounds wierd, but lots of little kids sit in those big windows and watch the water.Ok, studio Sea is a family club. sometimes they have a pirate dance party for little kids. Our GS loves to bop to music and getting to dress up as a pirate made it all the more fun. moms and dads also dance around with the toddlers.
Ok, also in the promenade lounge has music in the evenings and a small wooden dance floor, this is a fun place where I have seen many parents dance with the little ones.
There are animated movies on your TV which help to settle them down for nap time. They usually have a animated feature for little kids in the movie theater too.
There are sometimes when with a parent you can take your toddler into the kids club play area, as long as you stay with them. This is when the other kids are out to dinner or doing other events. You must ask a kids counselor about it to see if and when it is ok. I have heard of others doing this, but havnt done it ourseleves. Our GS loved to just walk all over the ship to see everything too.
If you use the nursery sometime they have lots of fun toys for them to play with.
On CC you can rent a bike with a child seat on it and ride around the island, there are two bike trails.
Hope this helps a little.
Kathleen

Make sure you bring any favorite toys, blanket, binky, etc. An umbrella stroller is a must. Some have the shade awning and I would bring one of those. Also, go to your local dollar store and buy some new toys for the trip. When she gets a little fussy pull out a new toy. Also, make sure you bring any over the counter and/or prescription medications you may need. It's expensive to have to buy them on board. A small inexpenive pail and shovel is great entertainment at the beach.
