In the Ocean View cabins, can you open the window to get fresh air in the cabin? I tend to be a little bit claustrophobic, and I am afraid to get a cabin without some kind of verandah, but the cost is just so high for verandah's.

I am prone to that closed in feelings too, but I didnt have any trouble in our room on deck 2 with the big port hole window. I am never in the room for very long. Just to change for dinner, clean up and bed. You have 3 open decks you can go out on anytime you want.
Deck 4 has padded lounge chairs and a walking/jogging deck to relax on and there are a few doors on both sides of the ship to go out there, plus 9 and 10 are open.
I think you'll find all the public areas are so open and big, especially in the atrium aea you wont feel closed in at all if you want to go there.
Maybe just rty a 3 day cruise to start, because you have all day in Nassau and the next day at CC. so if you are uncomfortable with it, you wont be on the ship that much.
I will admit the first time I walked down the hallways to the rooms I felt like the ceiling was way to close, because they are lower than a normal house, but once int he room Inever gave it another thought the rest of the trip.
