Default Black Pearl / Flying Dutchman at Private Island?

I have some friends looking to do a Disney cruise with their kids. Rumor has it since 'Pirates of the Caribbean' is out that one of these ships from the movie is docked permanently at the private island.

Anyone know if this is true or have seen it?

It is true that the Flying Dutchman is currently located at Castaway Cay. It is in the bay and can be viewed however you are unable to board the ship.

The flying dutchman is awesome to view. If you walk to the beach you can stop and get some great photos from the sidewalk, we used a zoom lens and it shows all kinds of faces carved into the ship of it we never noticed before.

Plus is you walk in instead of taking the tram off past the ship is a sandy area where Captain Jack Sparrow will greet you for a photos with the ship in the background. This is an awesome photo to have!!!

But if you take the tram you will ride past him and they dont stop!!check your Navigator paper for the time he will be out there. he is usually only there for 30 minutes twice during the day. I think it was around 9:30 the first time of day. Not sure for the second time.

yes, the Black Pearl is there - You can board her tho.

She is next to where the ship docks and sort of by where the small boats are docked.

If a hurricane were to come, she would be moved

Just after it arrived we were on the magic and one of the guest speakers was the head man for Disney movie productions. Sorry I can't place his name or exact title but he was there to answer questions about the POC movies and to promote the next film.
He said it was used in the filming of the movie and the back is open so the cameras could get the inside shots .
Nobody asked if they had more than one ship used for production but this one had just come from finishing up the filming from the movie.

So at least according to this man it is the original one used in the movie.
I will try to look up my album and see if I saved the Navigators for that trip. If i did I will post his name and title for you. I have done so many cruises that I often dont keep the Navigators because i have so many from previous cruises.
I will take a look though.

Yep, that was mentioned over on the 'Pirates' official site that the ship is now berthed there.
