Family worth the extra moolah?

I've just booked a "suite" with a verandah but am considering the category 3 upgrade (for the extra $1100!). I just can't imagine that the extra "grand" is worrth it for a 3 day event. Any one out there stayed in one of the Cat 1,2,or 3's?

i havnt stayed in cat 1, 2, or 3 but I can say, save your money unless you plan on staying in your room the entire cruise.

Most people are only in their rooms to sleep and change clothes for dinner.
so why pay for an extra nice room that you will hardly be in.
I have been in a cat 12, cat 11, cat6 & 7.
