Unsure teenager

Our travel agent suggested a couple of sites including this one for my 15 yr old daughter. We are going on our first cruise which is Disney on Feb 15 09. She always makes friends no matter where we go but she is nervous that she isn't going to know anybody. I've tried to tell her that most kids on the ship are in the same 'boat'. I've noticed that most of the teens on this site are highly experienced with cruising on other cruiselines. Anybody who has done Disney or happens to be going on the same day as us? I kind of wanted to get an idea before I hand this off to her. We have a 10 year old daughter too. She is just thrilled and could care less

Have her join in on the discusions over on the teen message board. She might meet some people there that are going on her cruise. Bob

I hope you get this before your trip. I have one piece of advice for your teen, go to the teen events and make some friends day one. My son, who was 17 on our first Disney Cruise waited until day 3 to really make an effort to meet anyone. Before then he hated the trip. After that he had a wonderful time. He was sorry he wasted those first few days. He still corresponds with some of those kids three years later.

We don't have teenagers, but we do have a 9 year old daughter who will probably be in the same activities as you 10 year old. We have cruised with our kids beofre and are looking forward to it! See you on the 15th!

Hi,
Well how was the Cruise? We took 2 Grandaughters ages 12 and 17 on the Wonder and their first Cruise. We saw themm at meals.........They just had a full ball. The stack where the teens go was their favorite. We let them go and they just enjoyed every single event thaeir was. Anxious to hear how you liked it and post some pics.
