Do we have any cruisemates adults, without children or grand kids, who sail on Disney?
Absolutely! We've been on 4 DCL cruises so far without any kids (unless you count one trip with our 39 yr old son and his wife), and they've been great. There's plenty of adult-oriented activities and features onboard to keep adults happy and entertained.
I just did my first Disney cruise - 7 days Carribean
and loved it - so much to do - and great atmosphere.
Would love to do the translantic in May on Magic.
You will love it! I went on Transatlantic last April and took the back-to-back Mediterrean cruise also, visiting Rome, Naples, Capri, Monte Carlo, etc.etc.
15 of our 20 DCL cruises have been without kids.
Love the entertainment, ande the general atmosphere of DCL over other lines.
We dont gamble or party hard so other ships dont fit our life style.
Disney has what I call clean adult comedians and entertainers which I really appreciate.
Ports are good, ship is clean, food is good. Love watching the kids have fun too.
Have the Dream booked, again just us two old grandparents who are young at heart.

We cruised as a couple with Disney for our first cruise and loved it. We are Disney fans, so it made perfect sense. When we got on the ship, we were surprised by how well they really catered to the adults. Because the kids clubs are so good, you often don't see them running around the ship on their own. Many of the adult activities were better than what I have experienced on other lines, especially the adult comedy and nightly entertainment specifically for adults at Rockin Bar D's. (or the adult lounge on other ships)
9 times and counting (just re-booked on board the Dream in April). DH and I love Disney, you can't beat the service, ship ammenities, cleanliness, the food and the attention to detail among other things.
Last year my husband and I experienced a great ship on the Disney Dream. We really enjoyed a wonderful travel! Disney Dream is a majestic ship with a length of about 1115 feet and a width of 125 feet. We shipped to Caribbean and the scenery is very fascinating on the way.
This ship is very deluxe and has 14 towering decks. There are about 1250 staterooms on this ship that can accommodate more than four thousand guests. This living and dining facilities on this ship are extremely comfortable and palatable. There are also many entertainment facilities on this ship. We love this journey so much~~~~
I guess we are the exception. We cruised the Wonder in February out of San Pedro to see if we'd like it and maybe take the grandchildren. Unfortunately for us, it was Kids Cruise Free Week. we had none!
First let me say, it wasn't a bad cruise but just not for us. The embarkation was a breeze and we loved getting our sea pass picture taken then instead of getting on the ship. We felt kinda weird having our them announce our arrival but it was cute. The best part were the shows!! Fantastic!! They were so good, we sat closer than we normally do. We are not big gamblers but did miss the casino a little. We were the only ones at the adult games/trivia The Adult Only pool saved us from boredom and noise. The noise level in the dining rooms was very high even at late sitting. The TV only had Disney programs and Family TV programs, no CNN or even Law & Order reruns. With that many kids on board, we felt sorry for the parents in the long character lines; "not our turn yet" was heard over and over.
In summary, since we live a few miles from Disney & have annual passes, we decided it would be better to enjoy Disney and the Characters & Princesses at our leisure and take the family on a different cruise. We checked out the kids programs on the Oasis. They have a science lab, character activities and just as much fun. We asked one of the counselors how she liked her job and she said she loved it. Mind you, she was dressed up as a pirate and having a good time marching around at the time.
Any cruise is a good cruise but no Disney for us.

There are tons! When we went last October (2010) I can't tell you how many adult couples we met without children. The great thing is that even though Disney is a children's brand, it really does have something for all ages. There are plenty of Adult only areas and venues.
