Concierge with Verandah vs Veranda?
Besides being larger, what's the primary difference? We're planning a trip for a family of 5, my husband and I and our children ages 12, 6, and 1.

The Concierge suite is 50 feet bigger and comes with concierge service. 306 sq ft. The first can sleep five people while the latter maxes out at four.

The Deluxe family staterooms can sleep 5 (you probably have to book one that specifically does) - they are about the same size, but no concierge services. 299 sq ft

Here are the concierge services:

Concierge Services
On the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy, our signature Concierge service is an added benefit for all Suite and Concierge Stateroom Guests. It begins even before you board the ship and continues throughout your vacation and beyond.
Pre-Arrival Services
Disney Cruise Line conveniently offers pre-arrival Concierge services for Guests. You can pre-reserve many of your onboard activities and services online, starting from 120 days prior to your sail date. A dedicated Concierge Services Specialist is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. via a toll-free number, to provide personalized assistance in helping you plan every cruise detail, including:
  • Port Adventures, Palo and Remy dining, spa treatments and nursery stay reservations
  • Dining room seating preference requests
  • Special occasions and celebration planning
  • Assistance with all special requests, from before your arrival until after you cruise.
As a Concierge Guest, you'll enjoy the benefits of the ship's Concierge level special services and exclusive access to dedicated areas on the ship. The Concierge Lounge is centrally located amongst the Concierge Suites on Deck 12. In a stylish, modern setting, Guests can relax in quiet comfort, sip a cocktail, access the Internet, watch news on a large-screen TV and enjoy complimentary food and beverages offered throughout the day. From the Lounge, Concierge Guests have their own private entrance, an exclusive Concierge-only sun deck where they can soak up the sun in their exclusive onboard oasis. Enjoy tranquil breezes, cooling water misters, cushioned lounge chairs and a bar stocked with water and refreshments.

The difference
I cruised a few years ago.The fruit and flowers and champagne are different. The furniture on the balcony is supposed to be better. The shower head is also different than the regular. One of the things that appealed to me is the special breakfast room service menu.

Although I have not sailed on Disney I have used concierges on Royal my last three cruises and I believe they are worth the money. They are part of the suite services on Royal Caribbean. They make reservations for specialty dining, shows, spas, boarding passes, and that's not all. Just my opinion.

On Disney Wonder, what is lowest level category that comes with Concierge benefits. When looking at a seven day cruise in Alaska, the price came to over $14K for two which seems a bit steep; I am wondering if there might be a lower category that still has the benefits.
