One of my daughters and her family plan to do their first cruise in 2012 on a Disney ship leaving from NY .They suggested that my BDW and I join them . My question is this :

Are there activities for older folks on a Disney cruise ?

Absolutely. I found the adult programs great. After dinner every night, they have something specifically going on for adults in the main bar, usually an adult cabaret show, comedy or game. Lots of fun. Weirdly enough, the kids programs are so good, you don't run into as many kids as you might think. They are all kept busy.

dear sir,

as a couple ages 68 and 72 i wish to share with you what happened to us on our april 17-21 cruise. We took the son and family, 2 aft cabins were awesome...........something happens when you board that ship!!!

beware..........................

the child inside you comes alive and the adult steps back. Yes, there are adult activities, areas, and bars onboard..........we never went. Stuck close to the kids, was in awe of their faces, joined in the fun and even did the aquaduck dispite aid to get up out of it....................disney cruise is not like the "adult cruises" no gambling but enough bars. One has to realize your boarding disney's magical world on the ocean and know what????? Just go with it and join in and you will have the best time of your life.

dear sir,
we are ages 68 & 74............................it is hard to explain as it seems once you walk into that disney ship something very different happens.................your transported back in time and your inner child is let loose. We laughed and we joined in with the children and just had the time of our lives. I spent a year buying items to dress for the pirate night and got the grandaughter decked out in a princess pixi fairy costume shoes to tiara. (had to take an x-tra suitcase on board) and our 40 yr. Old "serious professional pilot son" had the face of a 10 yr. Old all the time we were onboard. It was heaven just heaven
yes. They have adult activities.........we never went to them. We just were kids for 4 days. Go you will love it.
