HOLLY MOLY I was just looking around at diffrent cruise lines and ended up on the Disney cruise line web site.WOW they are really proud of their cruises! The one I seen was $ 2,500 for a seven Caribbean cruise with an inside room! Holy smokes how could a family of 4 afford to do that
It is really expensive. But, you have to remember, there are many first time cruisers booking Disney who may not know any better and believe that it is the only cruise line "for kids", so they book it. I do believe Disney has an excellent product, but the prices will keep me from ever making it a recurring choice.
I haven't sailed Disney yet - though I do have two cruises booked.
DIsney is not a line to book last minute. You get your best prices (and selection) when the itinerary is first released. The longer you wait .... the more the price goes up until the ship sails.
I believe my sailign in 60 days has been sold out since April of last year. Not many lines an boast that!
I think Disney cruises are for people who LOVE DISNEY. If you love disney, you pay more for the experience.
My kids have sailed Carnival, Royal, and HAL. HAL is by far their favourite ....though I suspect that my change with Disney! [my kids are 4 and 5]

yes the disney cruise line is top dollar but we have taken family twice and i will confess it is worth every cent !!!!!! if you can take your children and self and notice......your own inner child will awaken. do it at least once. oter cruise lines have great bargins and if it's booze and gambling then go for it. Family fun for 3-7 days is another matter.
Disney, nice... i've been there. i mean Disneyland, not cruise but this is my dream, i bet i'll travel down Mississippi on my next vacation, i owe it to myself
