Does Disney enforce age restictions on excursions?

Hello all, my son is 4 3/4 (not yet 5) and we would like to go on a shore excursion that has a restriction of 5 or older. I know that I cannot book this online, but does anyone know if I try to book, in person at the excursion desk, will this restriction be waived?

I believe Disney is pretty resolute about their rules - they are as corporate as you can get and probably have legal reasons. But you can always try.

Also note that age restrictions may be established by the tour operator and Disney has a contractual obligation to enforce them. I do not know for certain, but it would not surprise me if the excursion desk computer shows the ages of everyone when you book a tour. And thus, it will show your son as being 4, not 4 3/4 years old.

But as Paul said, it never hurts to try and I can't see how a couple of months would really matter other than they have to set some sort of cut-off age.

I was going to suggest a private company. You will have just as good a time anyway and maybe save money.
