Default Disney Dream formal nights?

I think I just read a review on the Disney Dream, where the author seemed to imply that in lieu of a formal night, they have a Pirate night.

The Pirate night I am familiar with, my question is though, on the Dream 4 night cruises do they have a formal night, and would I be able to get in there with a button down shirt and dockers?

Thanks!

No, formal nights are referring to dining. Pirate night is a deck party.

Although, if you want to dress up in pirate stuff for formal night I wouldn't batt an eye

To answer my own question, while there is an "optional" formal night; the dress codes for this night ranged everywhere from suits, beautiful dresses, high heels, jackets and ties, to only jackets, to t-shirts and shorts, sandals, etc.

So, if you choose to dress formally it is your prerogative, but hardly a requirement. The dress code was relatively relaxed as I suspected.

Default Dining Attire

While the main dining is casual, it's not the same for the specialty restaurants like Remy where you'll at least need a sports jacket. Tie is optional. Palo is a bit more causal.

It seems a lot of the mainstream cruiselines have less formal attire on formal night than before. My last three cruises I saw a few tux's on men, some suits, but more shirt and tie, or sports coat with no tie.

Ziyan, what exactly did you enjoy on your Disney Cruise? What made it stand out? Thanks.
