VanCouver to Hawaii, anyone take this cruise?

Has anyone taken the Sept 09 cruise out of VC to Hawaii? What hotel did you stay at and where was it in comparison to the port? What sites did you see in VC and Hawaii? We are booked for Sept 2010. We're trying to make reservations early and get an idea of what we may want to do at each port.

We're going and staying at the Radisson in Richmond.

The cruise ship is sailing on 9/17/10. We have booked the flight from NJ to Vancouver and back home from Hawaii but haven't booked a hotel. I have never used price line, which is recommended, but did start researching hotels and priceline. It looks like there are aprox. 9 ships going out of VC within a 4 day period. Are you sailing with RC? How far is Richmond far from the pier and did you book directly with the hotel?

We are so looking forward to the Vancouver-Hawaii cruise. We booked a carribean cruise out of NJ, when on RC last year, for end of March. This will be our first time crusing twice in one year. The Hawaii cruise is a special anniversary cruise.

Richmond is by the airport, and about a half hour to the pier. If u want to experience Vancouver, I wouldn't stay out there.

Priceline in downtown Vancouver, 4 Star is what u want, and u'd be fine with any of those hotels.

You'll wanna see Gastown, ChinaTown, Granville Island, Stanley Park.

The first day or day and a half out of Vanc. may be a bit choppy, but the rest of the cruise should be great. We've done that cruise a couple of times.

We have been finding previous posted threads or getting responses from our questions about VC and Hawaii. The VC port and Hawaii appear to be one of our best cruise choices. Thanks for the info. We will only select downtown 4 star when we use priceline for the first time.
