Question Custom's clearence in Long Beach

We will be sailing on the Splendor in October ; DW made early flight reservations for our return. I'm worried that going thru customs might cause us to miss our flight if they take a long time to clear us. Anyone know how long it takes

Thank's Securityman:

How early is "early?" There are several factors to consider with respect to being able to make a particular flight - speed of debarkation on the ship itself, customs, distance to the airport, typical traffic for the time/day of the week.

We try to book flights after noon on debark day. Its not just Customs that can delay you. Weather and mechanical issues can happen.

If you fly out of Long Beach its not so bad but if LAX I would get a 1 or 2pm flight or later.

We had a lady on our cruise who refuse to report to the custom's officers when called several times over the loud speakers so they would not clear the ship until ALL have reported in
People were finally allowed off about 9 am
