Ft. Lauderdale, pre-cruise hotel, budget division!

Hello all. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel in Ft. Lauderdale that either has a shuttle to the port or the cab ride would be less than $20for 3 adults and a child? We're talking 'doesn't have to be fancy, but preferably not in the ghetto' here. Thanks!

Staying on A1A which is very close to the port, and, an inexpensive cab ride to the port, is the Holiday Inn Express..if you try Priceline/Hotwire ,and put in 4 stars downtown, you could possibly get one as low as 79.00. There are many hotel/motels close to the airport, that you could find a lower rate. I got the Renaissance at that great price.

Great, within 3 miles you've got over a dozen properties to choose from, some with comp shuttle, others not or a charge. Lots to consider.

The LaQuinta Inn in Hollywood, FL is a nice hotel....It has shuttle from the airport to the Hotel and a shuttle to Port Everglades. If you drive in you can leave your car at the Hotel at no cost. We grabbed a cab back to the hotel after the cruise and fare was $25.00

Rodeway Inn -free shuttle to the cruiseport

I also recomend the Rodeway Inn. We have stayed there three times.

They have a nice pool and free breakfast as well.
