Places to stop before boarding?

We are flying into Ft Lauderdale, arriving at 930 am, and sailing out of Miami with a 4 pm sail time.

Any suggestions on where to tell a driver to stop inbetween at a Walgreens, CVS, KMart, Walmart type store?

Any experience with shuttles doing something like this?

Not sure a shuttle would stop .... but a Taxi would

www.theharborshops.com is the closest shopping are to the port and airport. There is a Publix Supermarket there as well. Cvs & Walgreens down there also sell beer and wine,and they are all over the area. Indeed,a taxi would be the way to go, as shuttle services don't stop.nThere are no Walmarts etc, close to this area

This shopping area is well located, right across the small side street next to Hyatt Place.

We boarded a shuttle at the Ft.Lauderdale airport taking us to a Ft.Lauderdale hotel. Due ro the fact that we boarded at midnight the driver offered to make stops at McDonalds so that we could get something to eat .Our flight was delayed by 7 hours.

How many people were on the shuttle ?

I suspect if they have several people they would not be stopping

It's likely if it was the hotel shuttle, with customers of their own, they may make an exception, due to the lateness of the situation with a delayed flight, but in general, shuttles pickling up from different locations,just don't make stops.

The shuttle driver offered to stop for the 4 of us on the bus but we all preferred getting to the hotel and going to sleep .
