[cross-posted under Princess. I will check both threads.]
Looking at the satellite imagery I see a Princess ship at Terminal 2. Does Princess use any other terminals in Fort Lauderdale? We are staying just around the corner on A1A (SE 17th Street.) It seems that as long as the weather cooperates we should have an easy walk to the terminal.

Sorry - they do not allow walk-ins at the terminal - they don't want people wandering around.
You can get a transfer bus from any 17th st hotel for about $7.00 per person. No reservations needed - just ask at the front desk or bellman's stand outside in the morning. The leave about every 15 minutes all morning. |

If I recall correctly, you have to go through a security gate and still quite a ride even from that point. Just take a cab or the transfer from your hotel, way too long of a walk with luggage, etc.

Yes, when it comes to Port Everglades the looks can be deceiving. As we say in Alabama, 'you can't get there from here' due to the serpentine access roads inside the port.
The 17th Street hotel shuttles are not a generally known thing. In fact some hotels such as the Embassy Suites will gladly sell you a 'cruise package' which adds $50 to $80 to the price of a room, which includes a shuttle to the ship and they will also pick you up and deliver you to the airport on debarkation day if you ask. But that still isn't worth it when you can simply go outside and get a shuttle ride for $7, sitting next to the people who paid the premium price.

Since I cross posted I will cross thank you. Didn't think about a fence when I looked at the sattellite.
