Default Miami Port Hotels

First time flying into Miami for Caribbean cruise. We wanted to spend 1st night at Holiday Inn as recommended by board but they are booked. Any other hotels that you would suggest, near market place (walking distance).

Also what is your thought on our return. We are planning on staying one night after we get off ship & booking hotel near airport as I heard there is quite a lot traffic and we have early morning flight out. We also want to visit South Beach. Not sure how far it is from airport and should be take luggage to hotel then go to South Beach? What would be best mode transportation?

Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have.

A lot of people like the Intercontinental close to Bayside
or check B2

We stayed at Hampton Inn Brickell ..it is a short ride on the free metro mover to Bayside ...

I understand there is a bus from the airport to South beach if you want to go there 1st
you could always book a hotel in South beach depending on how early your flight is just get the hotel to order a taxi for you

Rent a car near the port then drop off later in the evening after checking into the airport hotel

Are there any Hilton family properties with free shuttle from airport and free shuttle to port?

Sorry Marc. I am just seeing this. I believe that the Hilton Miami Airport has both shuttles.
