Fort Lauderdale post-cruise flight-10:25 am? Help?

Booked on Regal Princess April 3-10. Looking at return flights on April 10 (Sunday). There's an Air Canada flight 1217 that leaves FLL (for Halifax) at 10:25am, which we'd LOVE to get! HAS anyone done this? CAN it be done? if so - how? Would really appreciate knowledgeable input.

If all goes well you should make it. However, if there is any sort on snafu you could be in trouble. What does Princess have on there website?

Are you docking in Port Everglades ??

If you can be in the 1st group off & get a taxi you probably could make it Check the cut of time for check in's with AC
The airport is 10-15 min drive away

It is the Immigration line up at PE that could slow things down

When is the next flight, I think I would check into a later one, just to be safe.

Personally, I would definitely not recommend it.

It's quite possible that if you let them know you'll take the early off program, where you keep your luggage with you the last night of the cruise and then take it off on your own in the morning, you might be able to get off by around 8:00am. It's also possible that you could be at the ticket counter by 8:30am.

However, there's always the possibility that the ship could come in late or that you don't get off the ship on time. There's also the possibility that the customs people could show up late. And there are a dozen other things that could come up to delay your departure off the ship.

For an international flight, they recommend getting to the airport 2 hours prior to the flight. If everything goes perfectly, yes, you might make it.

I normally never suggest looking at a flight prior to noon just to be on the safe side. Plus, you just had a wonderful vacation, why ruin it by having to rush and hassle over an early flight. And if you don't make it, how much is it going to cost you for another flight? To me, it's just not worth it.

Pete
