Seeking enterainment job On Ships

Hi there,

Have been playing live music since the mid-70's with my own bands as well as a solo
act. I am presently playing the curquits as a solo act as a vocalist/guitarst, backed digitally with programmed sound. My repertoire is very varied and extensive and geared to entertain different age groups. I have recording experience as for years I
did numerous jingles for various advertising agencies. In 2002 I completed a 15 song
christmas c.d. which enjoyed quite a bit of sucesses locally. I would like very much
to work on a cruise ship. Could you tell me what are the possibilities?

Aloha........well having worked on 3 cruise ships in Entertainment.......I can give you a bit of info.......if you can play the piano and sing, they are always looking for piano bar singers......who have a very bit repetoir...........they also sometimes have deck side singers as well......it really depends on your experience.........now if you had more experience in Vegas, on Broadway or in selling of your own album, I would recommend being a Guest Entertainer playing the main stage........but you have to have charts for the live orchestra (usually 6 piece).......and have a whole show prepared.......I would send a demo video tape of your show to the casting departments of all the cruise ships and let them call you.........cheer and good luck man
