We are looking for one more couple to join our Red October tour in St. Petersburg. If you are interested, e-mail us for more info. We aren't a group of four, but rather two couples who met on-line. All four of us are late middle age, the guys are both 61, but we aren't telling. We are politically liberal, and I don't know about the other couple yet.

We can e-mail our itinerary if you are interested. With all the extras including a tip, I think it comes to a little more than 800/couple for two days (two lunches in that price).

Update.
My husband said I would scare people away with the price. In fact, with 6 people, the cost will be just under $700 for two people for two days -- and that includes a tip, both lunches, the extra charge for early entry to the Catherine's Palace -- in other words, it could be considered $175/person/day. If we had 10 people (5 couples), the cost would go down to $154/person/day.
We can adjust the itinerary so we all have a good time.

See my report under the St. Petersburg thread. I think you can get a better deal by doing it on your own rather than with the ships tour. What about your Visa's. Do you buy them yourself or does Red October get them. You do have to be careful with those Visa's. The Russians like to throw their weight around and don't necessarily listen to tour agencies. The government is not tourist oriented yet.

According to Laura and everyone on the boards, Red October takes care of visas. We don't get independent ones so we can't go out after the tour on our own, like we could if we got our own visas, but the price is included.
